Advanced Disposal
Advanced Disposal is the provider of solid waste and recycling collection services for the City of Crystal River.
The contact number for solid waste services for the City is 795-4216 ext. 314.
No hazardous, universal, biological waste (no sharps); batteries and tires will be collected.
Collection Frequency
Household Waste Collection
- This service includes two (2) weekly collections of garbage per residence.
- All trash must be contained within a garbage can or bag.
Residential Solid Waste and Bulk goods Collection Days
- East of Hwy. 19 Tuesday & Friday
- West of Hwy. 19 Monday & Thursday
Residential Recycling, White Goods & Yard Waste
Every Wednesday City wide
Bulk Goods
Household furniture/ mattresses, etc. will be collected on your regularly scheduled solid waste day.
Recycling
Recycling will be collected on Wednesdays for all City residents.
Crystal River has single stream recycling collection, which means that all recyclable materials can be placed in the same bin. Please use the 64 gallon recycling cart that has been provided.
Recyclables
Paper Products
Newspapers, catalogs, magazines, printer paper, copier paper, mail, junk mail, milk & juice cartons, frozen food, cereal, cracker, laundry detergent and pizza boxes, bagged shredded paper cardboard containers or large boxes must be cut down to dimensions no larger than 3ft. x 3ft.
Aluminum Products
Beverage containers, tin food cans, clean pie & roaster pans, empty aerosol cans
Plastic Bottles
- Plastic containers numbered 1 & 2 (e.g. detergent, shampoo, bleach, coffee containers);
- Plastics such as bags, buckets, tubs & toys numbered 3 through 7
White Goods
White goods will be collected on Wednesdays. (e.g. large appliances such as washers/dryers/ refrigerators)
Yard Waste
Yard waste will be collected on Wednesdays for all City residents. Each household may place up to two (2) yards of yard waste, not to exceed sixty (60) pounds, at curbside that is containerized, bagged in a biodegradable bag or bundled and tied.
Commercial Collection
Commercial dumpsters will be serviced Monday through Saturday depending on the customer’s needs.
Commercial Hand Pickup
One 64 gallon receptacle will be provided. Additional receptacles, not to exceed five, will be available upon request.
Holidays
The following holidays will be observed and there will be no collection those days: New Years, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. If your regularly scheduled collection day falls on one of these holidays, your regular collection service will be on the next business day.
