Parks Enforcement Department

Park Rangers interact with a wide variety of park patrons.  They are tasked with patrolling, protecting and supervising the City's parks and boat ramps.  Park Rangers patrol City parks, boat ramps and parking areas to help visitors, make sure rules are followed, and ensure the natural environment or fellow guests are not disrupted.

City Boat Ramps are located at 1 SW 1st Place (at Pete's Pier) and at 558 NW 3rd Avenue (just north of City Hall).   There is a launch fee that you can pay at one of the meters and the ramps are patrolled by Park Rangers throughout the day.  Hunter Springs and Kings Bay Parks have kayak launch areas, parking and launch fees are paid at area meters.

The City of Crystal River does not operate the boat ramps on Fort Island Trail.

Annual parking and launching passes for Crystal River Residents are available through the Finance Department at City Hall.

Please visit the Boat Ramps and Parks links for address and further information (including amenities, parking and launch fees, annual passes, and pavilion reservations).

Parking Citations:

While there is public parking available that is free to use, as mentioned above there is a fee for parking inside Hunter Springs and Kings Bay Parks, and launch fees for both City boat ramps and the waterfront parks.  Please pay one of the meters using your credit or debit card inside the park or at the boat ramp after you park and place the receipt on your dash board.   If you have any questions or experience any difficulty, please call the number on the sign for a Park Ranger who will be glad to assist you.  Tickets for parking violations may be written by City Park Rangers or Citrus County Sheriff's Officers.
