In accordance with section 166.041(4), Florida Statutes, beginning October 1, 2023, municipalities are required to complete a “business impact estimate” for proposed ordinances, subject to exemptions noted in the Law. The estimate must be published on the local government’s website and include certain information, such as the proposed ordinance’s purpose, estimated economic impact on businesses, and compliance costs.
