The Career section of the department is composed of Firefighters who work a 24-hour on / 48-hour off schedule. The career staff is organized into three rotating shifts: A-Shift, B-Shift, and C-Shift, ensuring continuous 24/7 emergency coverage.
Career personnel are responsible for responding to fire, medical, rescue, and other emergency incidents within the community. They work collaboratively across shifts to maintain operational readiness, complete required training, and uphold departmental standards.
The career staff is supported by part-time and volunteer firefighters, who assist with emergency response, staffing coverage, training activities, and community events. This combined staffing model allows the department to maintain a high level of service, flexibility, and rapid response while meeting the needs of the community.
